Dr. Gretchen Gavero D.O.

In my 11 years of practice, I've seen various ways of how mental health and illness are misunderstood. It is important to know how our thoughts and feelings affect our health and function in our day-to-day lives. It's not just about addressing the symptoms; it's also how our environment and culture affect our minds and bodies. This whole-person approach to care recognizes social diversity, including cultural, gender, and sexual diversity, as a vital element of our psychological wellness. I started Mindhealthspace™ to create a space for adults to feel empowered to learn about themselves, overcome their struggles, and strive for better health and a happier life.

As a mother, a teacher, and a physician, I understand life can be exciting and demanding. We all go through various challenges that affect our physical, mental, and emotional health. One of my goals as a mental health physician is to help individuals improve their overall well-being, so they can reach their ideal performance and be their best selves in the most significant areas of their lives. When we feel empowered and good about ourselves, we are more innovative and confident in our leadership, creative, or caring roles. With sound hearts and minds, we are more connected to our values, dreams, and community.
